Black Rot

Black Rot

Return to Diseases

Black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris) affects all cole crops. Early symptoms appear as small, yellowed spots on the margins of leaves. These areas will expand inward to form characteristic "v-shaped" lesions with brown centers and yellow margins. Lesions may merge to form large, blighted areas on the margins of leaves.
