Green Core

Green core occurs when tomato fruit centers become hard and vegetative; normal red flesh fails to develop in that portion of the fruit. It is often associated with cool temperatures, low light levels, and excessive nitrogen fertilization.

Management:
- Manage structure environment to provide ideal temperature levels as much as possible.
- Maximize light by preventing condensation formation and removing shade cloth when sunlight is limited during cooler seasons of the year.
