Clomazone (Command 3ME) injury. Used to control annual grasses and small-seeded broadleaf weeds, this herbicide is a chlorophyll/carotenoid pigment inhibitor. Affected leaves appear bleached, sometimes with a tinge of pink/purple. New growth initially appears normal except for the lack of green and yellow pigments. Clomazone is labeled for preplant or pre-emergence application.

Management:

  • Use according to the label
  • Apply with a shielded sprayer if spraying row middles
