Margined Blister Beetle on Solanaceous Crops
Return to Insect Pests
Margined blister beetle (Epicauta pestifera). Margined blister beetles are common in the Midwest and can be distinguished from other blister beetles by the orange striping on the wing margins. Only one generation is produced per year and they are generally not a major threat, though large numbers of adults can appear in swarms and rapidly defoliate plants.
