Scab of Potato

Return to Diseases

Scab (Streptomyces scabies) symptoms on tubers include rough, raised lesions that are variable in shape and size. Lesions (scabs) may have a corky texture and range from superficial to those that extend deep into tubers. This disease is most problematic where soil pH is above 5.5.
