Turnip Mosaic Virus
Return to diseases
Turnip mosaic (Turnip mosaic virus). All cole vegetables are susceptible, and the pathogen is aphid-transmitted. Symptoms include variegated color patterns (mosaic), necrotic ringspots, and distortion on foliage. Weeds and cole crops are reservoirs of the virus.

Management:
- Weed management.
- Destruction of crop residues immediately after harvest.
- Insect control (will not impact initial infections but will help reduce secondary spread).
